And in a blink…life passes you by! The last I blogged I was still brewing that baby pickle and now I have a 15 month old! I apologize for the lack of blogging but I’ve been adjusting to the best thing that’s ever happened to me…my beautiful baby girl, Journey Lynn. I’m new to the mommy world and I’m loving every minute of it! She was born 11/11/10 @ 3:37pm weighing in at 5.8 lbs. She decided to arrive about 2.5 weeks early! This was also our 5 year wedding anniversary…best gift ever!

Not only did Ms. Pickle join us for a fabulous rock concert last night, Shinedown, but I came across this picture that just proves she’ll be a rockstar…papa had his rock “horns” at an early age too LOL

Before my trip to St. Paul for AMS, my sister came over to help me get the house cleaned and my bags packed. In the process we dedicated some shelfs to little Ms. Pickle to start to get her things organized. Of course the setup is just temporary because it’s simply not cute enough LOL!

On our way home from St. Paul my co-workers and I stopped at IKEA. I picked up just a few goodies but I know I could have brought a truck load home! I found a fun play mat that’s nice and padded for our hardwood floors, a organizer for toys and what-not, a drape to hang around her crib and two funky flower shapped lights.

Our neighbor’s, Brandon and Amy, have two daughters and a son. Having two girls who are now five and three, Amy had lots of goodies to hand down to us. Mom came over for a bit today and we got everything sorted from NB-6m, 6m-12m and 12m and up. We are so fortunate to have such good friends in our lives to help us get on track…lord knows we’d be lost without Brandon, Amy and their kiddos! We’ve often joked that we’ll never be able to live apart from each other.

Oh yes, I had my 22 week appointment on July 29th. Her heartrate was exactly the same as my last 4 week appointment, 143. The doctor even let us listen to her for a good minute…I could listen to it forever! I can’t wait to see her again! Next appointment is the glucose test…YUCK!

My BFF Ashley kept telling me that she had a surprise for me but didn’t want to mail so her mom, Lori, would be dropping it by…I figured out why she didn’t want to mail it…it was nail polish titled “it’s a girl!” How stinking cute is that?! I still need to make time to paint my nails with this sweet pink color

I saw an ad for Kohl’s that said all maternity clothes were 50-60% off so mom and I headed up there today. Fairly certain I about bought one of everything so when this baby bump finally pops, I’m ready! Tomorrow marks my half way milestone so anytime now — everyone keeps saying that it just happens overnight…maybe tonight is the night?! LOL

I also found the outfit that I just may bring her home in…I just know she’ll be a daddy’s girl just as I was and it matches the cutest pickle blankie that my Shawna-na-na got her!

It’s a GIRL!

We are so excited to announce that we have a healthy little lady on her way! We just found out on 6/30 that it’s a GIRL! Her due date is 11/29 and she seems to be right on track for her size, weight and all organs looked good. We are so blessed!

My dad was just sure it was a girl because for 6 generations on the Candee side of my family, the first born has been a daughter. Even after telling him that it’s a up to Bry, who comes from all boys, he still believed it was a girl. Needless to say he did a little happy dance and proceded to say that “girls are the best, he knows so.”

My sister and I have seemed to be joined at the hip lately…lets just say she’s loving all my pregnancy cravings which I think she’s really having rather than I LOL I took her to go see Eclipse on Thursday and on the way there she says to me “I know you want a boy and a girl but having a big sister is the best.” And I’m tearing up! Not to say Mel and I haven’t had our rough patches but she is one of my best friends…A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. ~Marion C. Garretty

Oh and for those of you who don’t know the story behind the pickle…Bryan’s nickname since school has been “Pickle” or “Pickelson” so we’ve always joked that we’d have a baby pickle someday

Make engagement announcements by simply saying “invitation to follow…”There is a lot of planning that goes into weddings and sometimes it’s just hard to get your date narrowed down. That’s what made Erma think that she just wanted to share their good news that they were ENGAGED and that an invitation would follow. Even though this doesn’t give your guest a date to mark on the calendar they know to be expecting an invitation in the mail.

These damask patterned wedding programs proved yet again that your print projects can be done easy. They were simply printed on a glossy paper and folded in half…no need for extra work when the wedding is a week away! Congrats to Trudy & Nathan on there big day this coming Saturday!
